Step 01

Measure first

The right size depends on head circumference, not weight alone. Two minutes here saves a return. Watch the animation, then follow the steps.

How to measure

  1. Take a soft string or tape measure.
  2. Wrap it around the widest part of the head, level with the ears.
  3. Mark the string, then measure it against a ruler in inches.
  4. Match your number to the size chart below.

Step 02

Fit in four steps

A secure fit keeps the muffs on through head shakes and gives a proper seal.

1

Open

Hold the muffs open with both hands.

2

Place

Gently lower the cups onto your dog's ears.

3

Adjust

Slide the headband snug — one finger should fit underneath.

4

Secure

Click the chin strap so the muffs stay put.

Step 03

Find the size

Measure your dog's head circumference and match it below. If your dog falls in the 15–18 inch overlap, choose Large for a roomier fit or Medium for a snugger one.

MMEDIUM
12 – 18 inch head circumference
Corgi, Shiba Inu, Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, and similar small to medium dogs
LLARGE
15 – 21 inch head circumference
Golden Retriever, Labrador, Husky, German Shepherd, and similar large dogs
Step 04

Help them get used to it

Most dogs need a few days to accept ear muffs. Go slow — patience is what makes it work.

Day 1
Show the muffs and let your dog sniff them. Pair with a treat. Don't put them on yet.
Day 2 – 3
Place them on for a few seconds, reward, then remove. Keep it positive and short.
Day 4 – 5
Slowly extend the time worn. Reward calm behavior throughout.
Day 6 – 7
Fit them fully in a quiet room before using them in a noisy setting.
Step 05

The test results

We don't just print a number. Here are the actual factory measurements behind your muffs.
